Privacy Policy – VoxSafe

VoxSafe ("the App") is built by the same team behind JaneBox. Our principle is simple: your voice belongs to you, not us.

1. What We Collect (Spoiler: Almost Nothing)

VoxSafe processes everything on your device. We do not collect, upload, or store any of the following on any server:

Your voice recordings
Transcription results
Speaker tags or labels
File names or metadata

2. How the App Works

All recording, transcription (via Apple on-device Speech Framework), and storage happen inside your iPhone's app sandbox. No audio is sent to our servers or any third party. The only network requests the App may make are:

App Store IAP receipt validation (to unlock Pro features)
(Optional) Model download if you choose to add extended language packs in future versions

3. Permissions We Use

Microphone: To record audio for local transcription only.

Speech Recognition: To perform on-device transcription via iOS native API (offline mode enforced).

Neither permission is used for anything beyond its stated purpose.

4. Data Storage

All recordings and transcripts are stored in the App's sandboxed Documents directory, encrypted at rest by iOS. If you enable Face ID / Touch ID lock, access is further gated by iOS biometric authentication.

5. Third-Party Services

VoxSafe does not integrate with Google Analytics, Firebase, Sentry, or any ad / tracking SDKs. Your usage patterns are not telemetry-tracked.

6. Your Rights

You can delete any recording at any time via the App (left-swipe → Delete). Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device.

7. Children

VoxSafe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and (where material) note it in-app.
